The Port of Alicante is integrated into the city and has promenades and recreational areas that enhance the uses linked to port-city interaction. This coastline, one of the most attractive areas for the city, generates great business opportunities that occur in a port environment due to the proximity between the port and the city, and complement the uses of the interior wharf allocated to water sport activity.
One of the Port Authority’s strategic priorities consists of further improving city-port co-existence through the reinforcement of environmental measures and of investments in the open public port areas which are available to be used and enjoyed by citizens.
In that regard, the port has in recent years approved public-private investments for a value exceeding 17 million euros, which will serve to guarantee that precious relationship of the port with its city: Alicante.
